A bumper weekend as ELCA’s 2nd intake graduate, and 4th intake registration officially opens.
It was an event-filled weekend at the EbonyLife Creative Academy (ELCA), as we celebrated our 2nd Intake graduation for 2022, held on Friday, 1st July at EbonyLife Place, where 117 students across eight different courses, graduated with a rousing celebration. In honour of the occasion, special guests present included Mrs. Ogunlana – Head of The Lagos Creative Industries Initiative, Mrs. Agbaminoja – Executive Secretary – Lagos State Film and Videos Census Board, Mr. Idowu Johnson (Director – Creative Arts, Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture), Mr. Adeleye (Head – ICT, Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture), Mr, Ogunwa (Admin Officer – Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture), Miss, Yinusa Damilola (Admin Officer – Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture), as well as the ELCA faculty and guests.
Registration for ELCA’s 4th intake of 2022 also officially opened today, 4 July 2022.
This will give Post Grads and industry professionals, who would like to top up their skills, the opportunity to register for a FREE film course.
ELCA offers an 11-week, full-time short course in scripted filmmaking with immersive learning across eight disciplines including Directing, Producing, Acting, Scriptwriting, Art Direction, Sound, Editing and Cinematography with the course culminating in the production of a short film. Those who register will embark on an interview process where 15 students per course will be selected.
All courses are FREE and are kindly made possible by the Lagos State Government (LASG) and Lagos State Creative Industry (LACI).
ELCA was created by the CEO of the EbonyLife Group, Ms Mo Abudu, with a vision to accelerate filmmaking skills in Nigeria and get Nigerian stories to a global audience.
