Registrations for ELCA’s 3rd intake open, 11 April 2022

Would you like to learn to be an award-winning filmmaker? Here’s how.

There is certainly no shortage of passion and a can-do spirit among us Nigerians. However, because of certain socio-economic factors, many of our filmmakers are self-taught, YouTube trained, sometimes lacking exposure to big productions and are often not working with the latest tech. Having a solid educational foundation is the first step to upskilling filmmaking abilities.

Start by registering for one of EbonyLife Creative Academy (ELCA)’s FREE courses. All courses are FREE as this initiative has been made possible by LASG and LACI.

In a recent UNESCO study, ELCA was cited as one of the ‘LEADING PRIVATE INITIATIVES’ in African film education, namely due to the immersive teachings that the Academy focuses on. ELCA offers 11-week full time short courses across eight curriculums including Directing, Acting, Producing, Sound, Art Direction, Cinematography, Screenwriting and Editing. These are taught by a local and international faculty. Every semester culminates in the production of short films and to date, five student films from ELCA have been selected for festivals. The proof is in the pudding – you are in good hands.

On Friday, 8th of April, our first intakes of 2022 celebrated their graduation. Our 2nd intakes of the year commence their courses and today, 11 April, our 3rd Intake registrations officially open. Please register for your FREE course at: https://ebonylifecreativeacademy.com/apply-now/
